April 2011 Where your funding went this year......... 16 houses (final count still to be confirmed) Land purchased for 4 houses Rent for one lady and her two children for a year (we hope to build a house for them next year) 5 sewing machines and a new top for a sewing table 46 children to attend day care for the year Student and school fees for those mentioned above 20 boxes of biscuits for the day care centre 80 litres of oil for day care centre Barley, wheat, peas, maize and chickpeas for the day care centre for 10 months 400 kg of sugar for the day care centre Ox for a local farmer Material to make school uniforms Material to make dresses for the ladies and clothes for the children Work clothes – cowman 6 large plastic planters for vegetables (for the rainy season) 4 single beds and mattresses, 1 double bed and mattress and 1 double mattress 12 blankets 10 balls for the day care centre Plates and spoons for the day care centre 3 chicken houses and a large chicken pen 64 chickens Medical treatment and medicine for two ladies Milk, half a litre a day for three of the porridge ladies and one litre a day for one lady Food for the year for two families
