Day Care and Schooling

The Day Care is going from strength to strength, two hundred children attending, of these forty-one are supported with your donations. It is great to see how some of the children have developed since last year. Weldi is a boy aged about four with Downs Syndrome who last year just stood in a corner, this year he is mixing in with the rest of the children and holding his own.
In September we have two children leaving Day Care to go to school in addition to the five we are already supporting in school due to your donations. One child, Asksed, is receiving extra help and has improved greatly over the last year.
We also continue to support, with your help, six students at university, three of these will graduate this summer -something they could not have dreamed of without your help.

Porridge Club

This for us is still our favourite part of our project. Forty-one ladies are now attending, Sister Terfatu continues to educate the ladies and with your donations we continue to supply daily porridge for the babies and care and support for the children. As with other years we took away many clothes and these along with woolen hats and jumpers were distributed amongst the ladies and their young children.
