Housing update

House prices continue to rise mainly because of the cost of the imported tin for the roofing. A simple but sturdy mud and wood house with a tin roof is now about £225. During our stay a further 21 houses were agreed, and since returning 19 of these have been built, and land for four of the houses also acquired. Sister’s housing list continues to grow and she has a very stressful time sorting out who has priority. She does this by walking in the countryside several miles to view the needs of the people. Adding to her stress is the need to obtain planning permission for the building and the bureaucracy when dealing with officialdom.
