April 2015 Where the funds went this year 1 house, 1 new roof 11 houses to receive electricity 8 sewing machines 1 Horse For the porridge club and day care centre, 1000 kilos of sugar and 200 litres of oil, 300kg Barley, 200kg Peas, 100kg chick peas, 122kg bean, 200kg wheat, 200kg rice, 200kg maize and 40 boxes of biscuits 44 children sponsored at the Day Care Centre and 26 children in main stream school and university Loan for 3 women to start work and food support for 6 families Hospital and clinic treatment for 6 people 10 blankets and 4 mattresses Weekly milk for 5 families and the porridge club for a year Material to make dresses for the porridge ladies Support and things we need Financial donations remain a priority as we continue to support children in day care, purchase sewing machines and supply medical needs and when required housing. Clothes also remain a need as each year we try to take as many items of clothes as possible to help the very poor. We are grateful for the donations of clothes that we have taken to the Clothes for Cash outlets this has been a real boost to the funds. Items required and a couple of costs:- Laptops and mobile phones Football shirts any size (with the exception of large mans) any team Children’s clothes, age 3-16yrs Books, educational type Encyclopedias, Atlas Sewing items needles, tapes, scissors To build a house £250-£300 A sewing machine £215 Sponsor a child at Day Care for one year £75 Sponsor a child at school for one year £100
