April 2013 Housing We sent Sister Terfatu money in December to get some house building underway, with the hope that when we arrived we would be able to see new houses. Unfortunately Sister Terfatu has a lot on her plate as she is currently running the main school whilst Sister Ayelech is in Kenya on an assignment. Sister Terfatu had a list of 11 housing requests but had not had the time to view them. So we spent a day viewing all the houses, the hardest part of which is actually finding the people that had made the requests. Of the 11 houses we decided that only 8 were in need of a new home, two of the requests had better houses than we could wish to build. All new houses, even mud ones, require planning permission and getting this permission is becoming more and more complex with the local authorities. We will get updates on the house building throughout the year.  We did however make several visits to the New Jerusalem, a group of houses, 11of which we have had built. It was great to see these houses and how the families in them are settling in so well.
