The School
The school has 400 pupils from 3 years to 16 years. The
majority of the students pay to attend however the school also
sponsors children who cannot afford the fees due to being poor,
orphans or both. The backbone of the school are the three
Sisters.
Between them their work helps the poor in Bahir Dar of which
there are many. When talking to the Sisters they appear to
judge the wealth of someone by the amount of changes of
clothes, if they have more than one change of clothes then they
are describe as being wealthy.
The school is funded by the Catholic Church and with these
funds and donations the Sisters pay for schooling for those who
cannot afford it feed and supply milk to several orphans and
run several projects, further details follow.
